FAQ

In a nutshell, plant-based is a way of eating and veganism is an ethical stance (which includes eating plant-based).

Plant-based refers to a diet that consists solely of plant foods or foods of non-animal origin or without animal ingredients. A person can eat exclusively plant-based but possibly not be vegan, that is if they use animal products in other areas of their life (clothing, cosmetics, etc). Many vegans start out eating plant-based for health reasons and eventually adopt a full vegan lifestyle once they become more aware of the realities of the suffering of animals.
