Plant-based cooking & Vegan lifestyle coach
I’ve been eating plant-based since 1998! Veganism wasn’t nearly as mainstream back then so I really had to take it upon myself to learn everything I could about plant-based eating, nutrition, and vegan lifestyle. I soon realized that eating plant-based was not restrictive or boring, quite the opposite, it actually opened my eyes to so many different foods, and I learned to cook healthy and delicious plant-based meals.
I love to cook delicious vegan food. I have a diploma in Vegan Cooking from Centre of Excellence which I received with distinction. I’m proud to have completed the Forks Over Knives Ultimate Plant-Based Cooking Course, receiving the Forks Over Knives Plant-Based Certification from the renowned Rouxbe Culinary School. I also had a blast veganizing classic comfort foods in Sam Turnbull’s three month ‘The Ultimate Vegan Kitchen’ course. I’ve taken several vegan cooking classes over the years, including at George Brown College.
Along with 23 years experience in plant-based cooking, I’ve made a point to continuously increase my knowledge and expertise in plant-based nutrition. I attended the 34th World Vegetarian Congress when it was hosted in Canada in 2000. I was privileged to learn in person from legends in plant-based nutrition including: T. Colin Campbell PhD, Brenda Davis RD, Vesanto Melina RD, and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, along with award-winning vegan chefs Ken Bergeron and Ron Pickarski. I have a Vegan Nutritionist dipoma from Centre of Excellence which I received with distinction (accredited by the CMA (Complementary Medical Association)).
My passion and mission is to create awareness of the joys and many benefits of plant-based eating and vegan lifestyle and to empower others to confidently take the first step into, and maintain this healthy, environmentally sustainable, and compassionate lifestyle.
